Broadway Box Office Tweets - Week Ending October 3, 2010

If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that each Monday, I offer my quick analysis of each preceding week's box office on Broadway.

For your viewing pleasure, here are my tweets in chronological order for the week ending October 3, 2010:

12:35 pm October 4 - Early Broadway box office report: Billie Joe Armstrong pushed AMERICAN IDIOT gross to $1,092,334 http://nyti.ms/9pZ1Yh New song too!

3:25 pm October 4 - Broadway box office UP 4.67% last week to $17,278,362 in grosses. Up $800,000 week over week.

3:26 pm October 4 - Broadway capacity climbs 2.01% week over week to 79.6% or 222,529 seats out of 279,848 possible sold

3:27 pm October 4 - Broadway's average ticket price fell to $72.70 from $74.15 one week earlier. To be expected with new shows in previews

3:29 pm October 4 - Only 4 Broadway shows grossed more than $1 million each last week: WICKED, LION KING, AMERICAN IDIOT & JERSEY BOYS

3:30 pm October 4 - PROMISES PROMISES came close to $1 million week and BILLY ELLIOT only other show to gross more than $900,000

3:34 pm October 4 - Broadway shows with 90%+ capacity: WICKED, JERSEY BOYS, AMERICAN IDIOT, B ELLIOT, LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, MRS. WARREN, MAMMA MIA

3:36 pm October 4 - WICKED remains #1 at Broadway box office grossing $1,507,992 on 99.6% capacity. Average ticket price $104.61

3:37 pm October 4 - Having attracted its 5 millionth audience member, WICKED also had Broadway's highest capacity last week: 99.6%

3:38 pm October 4 - JERSEY BOYS had last week's highest average ticket price: $112.36. Grosses 1,086,925 on 98.5% capacity

3:40 pm October 4 - THE PITMEN PAINTERS had last week's lowest gross: $186,718 on 88.4% capacity. Average ticket price: $40.62

3:42 pm October 4 - MARY POPPINS had Broadway's lowest capacity last week: 59.2%, grossing $601,368 with average ticket price of $70.67

3:45 pm October 4 - MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION had last week's lowest average ticket price: $38.17. Gross: $205,714. Capacity: 91.0%

3:47 pm October 4 - Shows grossing under $300K: BLOODYx2 A JACKSON, NEXT TO NORMAL, BRIEF ENCOUNTER, MRS.WARREN, LOMBARDI, PITMEN PAINTERS

3:49 pm October 4 - Shows grossing under $300K: BLOODYx2 A JACKSON, NEXT TO NORMAL, BRIEF ENCOUNTER, MRS.WARREN, LOMBARDI, PITMEN PAINTERS

3:51 pm October 4 - Broadway's biggest capacity increase was for AMERICAN IDIOT w/Billie Joe Armstrong. Up 40.7% to 93.4%, gross: $1,092,334

3:54 pm October 4 - FELA! posted week's biggest capacity decline of 13% to 67.4%. Grossed $409,443

Billie Joe Armstrong's impact on GWBOR for American Idiot has to be something the Rialto has never experienced before! Truly amazing!
