Douglas Carter Beane's Little Show About Hollywood Secrets Opens Tonight
Douglas Carter Beane's Little Show About Hollywood Secrets Opens TonightEarlier this year, during its initial incarnation at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre, Douglas Carter Beane's The Little Dog Laughed became a buzzworthy critical darling. Tonight, the comedy about a closeted gay Hollywood star and his relationship with a male hustler completes its transfer to the Great White Way's Cort Theatre.
While Julie White and Johnny Galecki reprise their roles on Broadway, Tom Everett Scott provides the requisite silver screen luster in the form of the play's Hollywood leading man Mitchell.
During previews, the show has attracted no more than 42.9% capacity. Will all that change if the critics provide solid reviews tomorrow? Or will the critics (and a certain actor with the initials T.C.) have the last laugh? Stay tuned!
