No Star Love
No Star LoveSo much for Randy Quaid and the planned Broadway production of Lone Star Love. The tuner that's currently playing in Seattle has inexplicably canceled its Great White Way run that was to have started in November and opened in December.
This is Steve On Broadway (SOB).

I wouldn't call it "inexplicable". The Seattle tryout reviews were lukewarm at best and relations between Randy Quaid and his wife and the producers were at the boiling point.
Thanks Anonymous.
My attempt at humor may have gone south, given that I had linked the word "inexplicably" to my previous item regarding the tension between the production and Evi Quaid.
Question is- will another show take its place? Xmas season is a hot season for musicals...and maybe another show will swoop down into the theatre- maybe Disney's "High School Musical" or possibly a London import? What are your thoughts?
Anonymous, Right now, I think the $64,000 question with the looming strike or lockout is whether any producers are going to risk their necks on bringing a new 11th hour production to Broadway.
You're right that the pickings are mighty slim for musical theatre fans beyond Xanadu, Grease, Young Frankenstein, The Little Mermaid and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas -- that is, unless they revert back to old faves.
